Can you provide transportation from my child's school to your karate studio?

Yes, in collaboration with IKF Albertville Karate. Students may participate in three categories of competition (katas, weapons, and sparring) based on age and belt rank. Click here to learn about what our students have achieved in tournaments.

Kyu belt and Black Belt testing is usually held twice during the year, once in the summer and once in the fall. However, it is at the discretion of the instructor to decide when testing will be held for the students. Testing permission slips will be sent home with the students that are ready for testing. Please note that students that are not ready for testing will not be provided with a testing permission slip.

If your child attends Vestavia Hills Elementary West (VHEW), our instructor (Mr. Major) has an agreement that allows him to transport up to 10 students at a time via bus to and from the Vestavia Hills Civic Center (VHCC).

This service is only available for VHEW students on Tuesdays and Thursdays (when classes are held at the VHCC).

Pick-up time (from VHEW):

2:40 PM

Drop-off time (at VHEW):

4 PM

4:15 PM

**parents must pick up students directly from VHCC after the 4:30-5:30 PM class.

What style of karate is taught at Major Karate Federation?

Yoshukai Karate (Japanese style). For more information, contact us.

Does Major Karate Federation provide its own uniforms?

Yes! The cost of the uniform is covered by the registration fee. Visit our photo gallery to see them!

When and where are classes held?

Classes are held at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Classes are held at i3 Academy after school on Wednesdays.
